MINIMUM STANDARD (For Open Practice)
For safety reasons we cannot allow inexperienced skiers or snowboarders on the slopes without one of our instructors. If you do not meet the required minimum standard (see below) then you must book lessons, please call reception on 01202 499155 to discuss the various options.
Members of the public are not qualified to teach at the centre. Any person doing so will be asked to leave.
Skiing - Minimum Standard
|
• Able to sidestep up and down both sides, straight shuss and create a snowplough. |
• Able to snowplough glide, break and stop. |
• Able to do all of the above, use a ski lift safely and perform linked snowplough turns. |
| Snowboarding - Minimum Standard |
• Able to climb up & down the slope with board attached and perform a controlled side-slip descent. |
• Able to side-slip heal & toe side, traverse heel & toe side and use a ski lift safely. |
• Able to do all of the above and make a basic turn, heal and/or toe side.
